Orange mushrooms in Crow's Woods, Haddonfield, NJ. I suspect they are Jack O'Lantern mushrooms (Omphalotus olearius). Canon 6D digital SLR camera on a fixed tripod, Canon 24-105 mm f/4L zoom lens at 24 mm focal length. Exposed 1/6 second at f/8, ISO 200.

A closer view, at 105 mm focal length. Exposed 1/100 second at f/4, ISO 500 (with flash). The clump of decomposing mushrooms in the foreground was not identified.

Another close-up, at 60 mm focal length. Exposed 1/50 second at f/4, ISO 200 (with flash).

And as I was leaving Crow's Woods...

I noticed this Downey Woodpecker (Picoides pubescens) clinging to a nesting box. It was captured with the same camera and lens at 105 mm focal length (handheld) and cropped to about 20% of the original size. Exposed 1/125 second at f/4, ISO 100 (with flash).
