Welcome to the Official Home Page of the West Jersey Astronomical Society (formerly known as the Willingboro Astronomical Society). Our club is in its 52nd year of serving both the public and the amateur astronomers of the Delaware Valley. We have a long history of public education, star parties, interesting meetings, in-depth training and experienced leadership. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. June  17 Full Moon at 4:31 am EDT in southeastern Ophiuchus.
June  20 Informal Meeting at the Virtua Health and Wellness Center in Moorestown, NJ. Informal meetings in 2019 will continue to be on the third Thursday of the month. As always, guests are welcome and no astronomical experience is necessary. Use the Main Entrance, go straight ahead and follow the sign to the conference center, or check with the security guard who will direct you. Here are the minutes from the June 1 meeting.
June  21 Solstice, 11:54 am EDT in eastern Taurus (half a degree west of the Gemini border). Summer begins for the Northern Hemisphere.
June  29 Member Star Watch at Atsion. Check back for the weather call on the day of the event.
July  2 New Moon at 3:16 pm EDT in Gemini.
July  5 Formal Meeting, 7:30 pm at the Virtua Health and Wellness Center in Moorestown, NJ.
July  6 Public Star Watch at Batsto. Check back on the day of the event for the go/no-go weather call. 
July  27 Annual Club Picnic, for members and their guests only, will be held at Camp Ockanickon in Medford, NJ.
