Little Lady's Tresses (Spiranthes tuberosa) Update Oct 7, 2022: After a visit to the site on Oct 6 and observing leaf structure more closely, I have corrected the identification: Nodding Lady's Tresses (Spiranthes cernua). It's an orchid blooming along the cranberry bogs at Whitesbog, NJ. The plant here is standing about a foot high. Taken with a Canon 6D digital SLR camera and a Canon 24 to 105 mm f/4L zoom lens set to 105 mm focal length. Exposed 1/200 second at f/5.6, ISO 100; handheld.

Here's a close-up of the plant above. Same camera, lens and focal length. Exposed 1/200 second at f/7.1, ISO 100; handheld.

Another Spiranthes tuberosa, a few feet from the previous specimen. Same camera, lens and focal length. Exposed 1/200 second at f/7.1, ISO 100; handheld.
