We have a long history of public education, star parties, interesting meetings, in-depth training and experienced leadership. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

Club member Jerry Lodriguss captured this image of solar prominences on May 2, 2015, using Jim Sweeny's 130EDFGT f/6 triplet apochromatic refractor equipped with a 134 mm clear aperture rejection filter and a 0.2 angstrom Solar Spectrum Hydrogen-Alpha filter. This was a Live View Capture with Backyard EOS using a Gary Honis modified Full-Spectrum Modified Canon EOS 600D (Digital Rebel T3i) digital SLR camera. Click here for more.
