Club member Jim Mack captured these two images of Perseid Meteors on the peak night of the annual Perseid Meteor Shower, August 12/13, 2015. Both were taken with a Canon T5i digital DSLR camera, tracking on a Celestron German equatorial mount, and a 15 to 70 mm zoom lens set at 23 mm focal length. Both were exposed 240 seconds (4 minutes) at f/3.5, ISO 200. The left frame (with M31) was captured at 1:33 am EDT, the right frame (with the fireball) was captured at 2:07 am. Mouseover for labels.
