Our club is in its 53rd year of serving both the public and the amateur astronomers of the Delaware Valley. We have a long history of public education, star parties, interesting meetings, in-depth training and experienced leadership. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. July 11 Member Star Watch at Atsion. Status indeterminate, but presumably cancelled, because of coronavirus concerns.
July 17 Informal Meeting; this will be an online meeting via Zoom, opening at 7:30 pm (log-on information will be posted to the WAS Google group). The status of physical meetings at the Virtua Health and Wellness Center in Moorestown, NJ, remains indeterminate due to coronavirus concerns.
July 18 Public Star Watch at Batsto. Status indeterminate, but presumably cancelled, because of coronavirus concerns.
July 20 New Moon at 1:33 pm EDT in western Cancer.
Aug 3 Full Moon at 11:59 am EDT in Capricornus.
Aug 7 Formal Meeting; an online meeting via Zoom is planned, opening at 7:30 pm.

Club member Dan McCauley captured this Hydrogen-alpha image of the solar surface with the sunspot group AR 2765 on June 12, 2020, at 9:00 am EDT. There's also a large prominence on the solar limb along with several smaller ones.
